Arrival in Montreux
You land in Geneva at whatever time suits your flights; a driver meets you at the airport and takes you along the lake to Montreux — your base for the first three nights. In the evening we meet for dinner and a briefing: how Swiss boarding schools work, what to pay attention to during visits, and the plan for the week.
Schools in Lausanne
Two school visits in and around Lausanne, both arranged in advance — academically strong schools with a genuinely international mix of students. I accompany you at each visit, and on the way back we compare impressions.
Montreux and Villars
A school on the lake in the morning, then a school in the mountain village of Villars. We are back by mid-afternoon — time for Château de Chillon, a walk in Vevey or the Lavaux vineyard terraces.
Swiss alpine experience
No schools today. In the morning we take the GoldenPass Express panoramic train from Montreux to Gstaad — first class, reserved seats, the classic route from the vineyards into the mountains. In Gstaad: an easy walk and a cheese fondue on the alp. In the afternoon we drive south, to Lugano.
Lugano
The fifth school is in Ticino, the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland. After the visit we go through the week over lunch: impressions, open questions, next steps. The programme ends in Lugano; Milan airport is about an hour away, and I help with the onward arrangements.
